Wasn't it just as stupid when we were kids? Right on the heels of 1970s


stagflation with high unemployment and the highest inflation of our lifetimes? Now, it's pretty much the inverse, with impossibly low unemployment (based on the stated minimum from the '80s) and almost non-existent inflation.

I do remember that 5% "frictional" unemployment number, which we blew right through less than 10 years after the second Final Four of our college careers, if memory serves.
